Eric Kamm

Eric has a complex and endearing personality. Of great lucidity, he enlightens us with his common sense, deep sincere and direct. He leads a quest for simplicity, authenticity, truth and purity. To rub shoulders with Eric is to enjoy a diamond half-rough, half cut, full of poetry of light and sharpness.

When he took over the estate hand in hand with his father Jean Louis he benefited from an exceptional plot, old pampered and gardened with attention. While others rationalize, mechanize and tear off the old vines, the Kamm offer them all their attention, accompany them to produce to the best of their potential. Half punk, half poet; or rather poet with punk accents; Eric is sensitive, generous and always of great technical finesse and wit.

He produces wines of long guards, composed with care and inscribed in the temporality. Its Frankstein Grand Cru is a jewel, a blend of a generous, sunny plot with deep ground with a fresh plot on an austere poor and demanding granite. The first gives the wine notes of exotic fruits, an obvious generosity while the second brings nervousness, tension elegance whose magnitude is revealed only with a few years of ageing. This wine is in the image of the welcoming winemaker funny and smiling at first, deep, intense and complex if given a little time.
